July Happenings Part II

Halfway through the month Mat and Beth came to visit with Kayley.  As they were pulling up on Thursday I went out the front door to check the mail and I saw what I thought was a worm but at a  second glance I realized was a snake!  I went and grabbed Andrew's boot out of the garage and stomped that snake to death, it didn't stand a chance!
Not a big fan...
....but not very big!
We all went to dinner with Keith, Ellen and Ethan and this is the picture of Mommies and babies, Bradford is not one to sit still...lol!
Here a few sweet shots of Kayley and Bradford together!

Here is Brady with his little friend Gracie, he loves to love on her!

We went to Shelby for a weekend to celebrate my birthday.  It was a good visit and Andrew took me out to dinner and a movie on my birthday which was really fun! What was I craving for dinner you may ask...barbecue of all things!
Little man chilling I-pad style!

July Happenings Part 1

We started July off with a black eye!  Bradford slipped while on the changing table and knocked his brow bone causing an ugly black eye for a few days!

We went to the doctor July 3 at 9 weeks along to meet and see our little peanut.  It was very exciting!  We got to see the heart moving, hear the heartbeat and talk to our new doctor.  We are very excited to be walking this journey a second time around!

We celebrated Independence Day by heading to our friends pool in Burlington with friends to eat pizza and stay cool in the hot sun!  That afternoon we went with our neighbors to a cookout with some of their church friends where we watched fireworks!  Unfortunately I was quite disappointed that Bradford could have cared less for the fireworks, but he still had fun running around with the other kids playing basketball and playing on a fun swing set!

I have still been giving lessons at the barn and here is my favorite horse Chief.  He has a lot of attitude and you never know what you will get when you ride him, needless to say I will not be riding him at all now that I am pregnant.

The guy that mows our yard found a new friend for us for the day!  Mr. Turtle was not very interested in us and he hung out for  a few hours on the counter barely moving until we released him at a nearby park into the woods safe away from mower blades!

We went to Wilmington to hang out with our friends Erin and JP and Frank and Heather at the beach and to attend a wedding.  Andrew's parents were kind enough to watch Brady and Brolly for us, so we dropped them off with them after dinner Friday night and headed on down to the beach.  Saturday I got to try out paddle boarding for the first time and it was really fun!  We had a wonderful time swimming and soaking in the sun.  Saturday evening we went to the wedding of our college friend Paul and his wife Lindsey and got to see lots of our good friends from UNCG!

Here I am July 20 at almost 12 weeks along and starting to get a little bump!  Baby B definitely started showing up quicker in the belly area than Mr. Bradford!

A Visit to Hickory

We went to Hickory to celebrate Father's Day with Andrew's dad's family.  Granddaddy and Grandma Jenni Bost live there and Lee and Jackie, Andrew's aunt and uncle came with their son Connor from South Carolina.  We had a nice time relaxing and catching up with each other celebrating all of the daddies!

The Roanoke Valley Horse Show

The weekend of June 21-24 we headed up to Virginia for the big horse show.  I went as a teenager when I was sixteen and loved it as much then as I did this year!  Sandra and Gary got involved with the horse show from their scuba diving friends Ken and Mary.  She shows her horse and introduced them to this fun event over 10 years ago.  They have been attending every year ever since.  The big exciting event though for our family does not include horses!  It is the kids stick horse event where all the kids dress up and bring their stick horses down in the arena and run around while parents attempt to corral them. It is the most hilarious thing to watch and this is the first year Brady got to participate and Andrew got to attend Friday night!

Thursday evening was the stick horse event and all the family came out to watch!  Benson and Faith who have done this before had to show Brady the ropes!
Howdy lil' buckaroo!

Thursday night Andrew had to work but he got in town in time so we could all go together!

Brady and Faith were best buds Sunday afternoon!

Brolly got all the puppy playtime in he could have ever wanted while we were out of town with OE and Bella.
