To Iowa and Wedding Rehearsal and Dinner

The last weekend in June we traveled to Davenport, IA for Austin and Miranda's wedding (Andrew's step-brother) along with the ring bearer.  I was anxious about taking Bradford on the plane leading up to it and have realized that on these type of trips you can sometimes get thrown the unexpected!  Thursday afternoon little man woke up HOT.  I took his temperature and it was 103.4.  I was taken aback and I called the doctor and they said to wait it out but since we were leaving the next day I wanted to make sure he checked out ok!  We left for Raleigh as planned when Andrew got home and we could tell Brady felt terrible.  I was worried as this was the first time he had really been sick, and there was not much I could do for him.  We went to bed and he was still burning up at 2am.  We had to get up in two hours to catch a 6am flight and I was starting to second guess taking him and staying home.  So Andrew and I started praying over him and when we woke at 4, our happy little baby was back thank God and so we were off!

He did wonderful on the flights there charming everyone in his path and slept most of the time we were in the air and enjoyed people watching in the airport.  Only a baby can stare and get away with it!  When we arrived it took Andrew and I awhile to get the rented car seat installed, we got quite a few looks I'm sure.  With car seat installed we were on our way checked into the hotel and then took a quick trip with Laurie to Target for some necessities.  We then met everyone for lunch at one of Grandpa Art's favorite pizza spots known for their taco pizza!  It was great getting caught up on the weekend festivities and then we went back to the hotel to rest before the rehearsal dinner.

At the rehearsal we hung out and watched the proceedings as well as practiced with our niece Jessany pushing Brady down the aisle in the stroller Miranda had decorated with a pillowcase and bows.

Rehearsing

The rehearsal dinner was a lot of fun and Andrew and I were very excited to eat as lunch had been quite a while back.  We watched a video of pictures of the bride and groom growing up, ate some great food and enjoyed just being together.  Bradford got a stuffed football for his gift that said all star ring bearer, he loves it!

Here, There, Everywhere

We got some new furniture a couple of weeks ago.  We have never had enough seating in the living room when people are visiting and it always seem to feel cramped.  Now we have enough to seat 6-8 comfortably.  The rug makes the space feel more homey and the chair and a 1/2 is also a twin sleeper, with a cushy new ottoman.  Come visit anytime!

Andrew was in Charlotte Monday through Wednesday this week for work so I got busy!  Marieanne and Patrick gave us their adirondack chairs when they moved to France, and I have been painting those while Brady naps.  I am not completely done but they are coming along.

I stay pretty busy all day trying to mark a few things off my list all while chasing Brady around the house making sure he is not getting into the wrong thing!  Here are some things I have found him doing.

Under my desk
Feels so good on those gums
L.O.C. baby
The Dog Whisperer
He tamed the beast
Right before he climbed up a stair!

My two favorite parts of the day though are going in after he has woken up from his naps, and seeing his reaction when Andrew comes home from work.  Like I have said they have a special relationship and Brady loves his Daddy!

Mohawk tub time

This kid loves a good bath!

Last but not least I made deviled eggs for the first time and used my new Pampered Chef Easy Accent Decorator.  I had too much fun and of course they were delicious because I used the same recipe as Gary!

Love You Forever

There is a story I remember my mom reading to me called Love You Forever.  For those of you that don't know it tells the story of a Mother and her relationship with her son and that no matter how old or how big or what he does she holds him and rocks him and says "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living my baby you'll be!"  I always loved this story and Brady's Pop got the book for him and I love reading it now as a mother myself.

Yesterday in the bathroom I found this!

He had unrolled an entire toilet paper roll and was having a blast, I laughed so hard and thought immediately of this story!  Bradford I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living my baby you'll be!

Happy Father's Day!

We celebrated our first official Father's Day in the Bost house!  Andrew is such a wonderful father and you can see the joy they have for each other!  He is a Daddy's Boy:)  Andrew thanks for being the Daddy...  Here are a few pictures of Andrew and Bradford playing in the pool, he loves the water.

On Father's Day we went to Hickory, NC to visit Andrew's Granddaddy and Grandma Jenni.  Bradford had a great time playing with great Uncle Lee, Pop, Gramps and cousin Connor!  He charmed everyone and had us all chasing him all over the house!  We enjoyed a lunch out and spending time with family!

E-scape @ Dunescape

Andrew and I had the privilege of going to Holden Beach to play and spend the night!  Danny and Renate our mentors through LTD have a beautiful home and are wonderful hosts!  Nana and Grandpa Clatfelter kept Brady Saturday night (THANK YOU).  We had a great time playing Beach Olympics, soaking up the sun, and swimming in the pool.  Saturday evening ate dinner at Patronies Pizza followed up by ice cream at Paradise Isle and a great night of fellowship.  It was wonderful sleeping in Sunday morning and going out for a late breakfast with friends and then we headed home back to our little guy.  It was the perfect amount of time away.  I have realized if I have to be away I prefer a one-nighter for sure!
