Baby Dedication

I wanted to thank everyone that was able to come to Bradford's baby dedication on April 10!  This was also an especially memorable day because it would have been my Granddaddy Kinzie's 90th birthday!  We enjoyed having everyone there and it meant so much to us.  We missed everyone that couldn't make it...here are some pictures of the weekend events which was mostly him entertaining everyone with his antics!

Daddy turns 27!

On April 3, 1984 my most favorite person was born!  This is my sweet husband's 27th birthday and his first birthday as a Daddy!  He loves being a Daddy more than anything.  I think it is because he is so good at it!

A Day at the Beach

Saturday we had an opportunity to go the beach with some of our friends to Holden and had a great time!  We went to eat at Paradise Cafe which is the best burger place ever!  I was so excited to take Brady onto the beach and let him feel the sand between his toes.  He loved feeling the wind and looking at the ocean.

Getting ready to take a stroll!
He is so excited to go to the beach!

He was grinning the entire time we were out there!

Tricks and Treats

Last Wednesday we ventured to the park with some friends where Brady got to experience the fun of a swing for the first time.  The weather was so perfect so it was such a treat!  He loved the way it was less controlled movement like his baby swing.  He was grins and giggles the whole time sitting up in there as if to say, "See Mom I am such a big boy now!"  Thanks to our friend Tonya for these fun pictures!

Last Friday Brady started a new trick of laughing hilariously every time I tucked his knees under him.  Here he is kicking Brolly!  They seriously adore each other!

Playing catch up!

March has been very busy for us!  I apologize for the delay of pictures as I left my camera in Shelby.  Now that it has returned home, I can update on our lives.  In a short month our little guy has tried drinking out of a sippy cup with great success, we bought a high chair, have been to Raleigh three times this month, the beach for a day, Shelby for a few days, two weddings, and our little boy is sitting up laughing and really just a lot of fun!

New Fun

Brady is doing all kinds of new things!  He loves sitting in his high chair to eat.  He is starting to explore the new world of fruits, he has had pears and bananas now!  He is doing very well with sitting up on his own by balancing on his hands for times of 30-45 seconds and is talking up a storm.  Should we be surprised?  It is hilarious.

We went to Shelby this past week for a few days to visit my friend Elizabeth and her growing family of now 3!  Sweet baby Anna is a beautiful 2 week old and it was amazing to hold her and be taken back to when Brady was that tiny.  We also got to have to have some fun playtime with my parents Nana and Grandpa as well as Aunt Kathleen!  I have misplaced my camera so no new pics until then!

Saturday Andrew and I ran our first 5K in Cary with his sister Allison.  It was benefiting colon cancer and called Get your Rear in Gear!  It was tough, I am proud to say Allison and I finished together, we actually beat Andrew but I am proud of him we both kicked butt!!!  Allison really encouraged me when the going got tough.  I stopped to walk 3 times between the 2nd and 3rd mile.  At the end I caught up to Allison and we crossed the finish line together with a time of 31:46!  I was wiped though and Allison looked like she could keep running!:)

We got to hang out with all of the grandparents, Great Grandma Marilyn, and see Aunt Amy for lunch and a stroll around the mall!  It was a great weekend!

Here are some fun videos of our little guy  talking up a storm!  Enjoy!

To sleep or not to sleep? That has been Brady's question!

For those of you that don't know we have been waking up a lot at night between the hours of 1-3 or 4 or 5 for about two weeks now!  This is all due to teething only.  I took him to the doc on Monday to ex out the factor of a possible ear infection.  He is thankfully healthy as a horse.  It is hard to be a parent these days with everyone always wanting an answer and all of the "Baby Stuff" that is available.  There is almost too much on the market for everything and it can at times be a bit overwhelming.  Which teether is the best?  To orajel or not to orajel?  The nighttime one with pain medication or the all natural one?  Who cares?  What I want is what is going to work!  Well after some exhaustion and tears and trying to get advice from everyone he finally slept for 7 HOURS LAST NIGHT and then for another 3.  There is hope in the air!  Due to all of this it has been more pertinent to have me time.  Andrew hasn't been up with me much b/c he has had to work but has been super sweet in helping with dinner and other things around the house and letting me get out for a couple hours this week.  I love him!

Valentine's Day was sweet but not overly exciting at our house.  We went out to dinner Friday night and counted that as our Valentine's dinner out and Andrew got me a new wallet and some flowers and a card which I loved them all!  I doted on my two sweet valentines!
