Out with the old and in with the new

This past weekend we adopted some NEW to us furniture from Andrew's aunt and uncle.  They have received the exciting opportunity to go to France for three years with Patrick's job.  They were getting rid of a lot of stuff so we got blessed!  Our kitchen table was about 30 years old.  It was the one Andrew's parents bought when they got married.  It served us for four faithful years.  Some of the chairs served us a little less longer, which was the need for a new table.  We went from 5 pretty good chairs to one busted out from under Andrew, and two the wooden posts popped out anytime someone sat in them.  We relentlessly hammered and glued and nailed and tightened to do it NO MORE.  The last two chairs are still great and I hope it all finds a new home!  We love the new matching hutch!  It all matches so well! THANK YOU!!!

Our bonus room which was a huge selling point for us when we bought the house a year ago has not been used a whole lot until recently.  It was Andrew's office and held Brolly's crate.  Not too long ago we acquired a sleeper sofa from Grandma Beezer which is super comfy and I love.  We also adopted this weekend a new TV and huge entertainment center for upstairs to replace the microwave cart and an older TV.  The Bost home is now HD!  Over Christmas Brady received a rug, toys , and cubbyhole system.  I dreamed of this room looking like this when we moved in.  Needless to say we now use this room all the time and it is my favorite place to play with my son.  It is a great feeling when you feel like you have made something your own!  So Marieanne, Patrick, Max and Sam while I know these pieces will greatly miss you I hope they will learn to love living with us!

  2. Love the bonus room... looks like the perfect place to sit on the floor and play with Brady! We bought the same cubbies for Faith's room (with pink totes, of course) and it is great!
