Out with the old and in with the new

This past weekend we adopted some NEW to us furniture from Andrew's aunt and uncle.  They have received the exciting opportunity to go to France for three years with Patrick's job.  They were getting rid of a lot of stuff so we got blessed!  Our kitchen table was about 30 years old.  It was the one Andrew's parents bought when they got married.  It served us for four faithful years.  Some of the chairs served us a little less longer, which was the need for a new table.  We went from 5 pretty good chairs to one busted out from under Andrew, and two the wooden posts popped out anytime someone sat in them.  We relentlessly hammered and glued and nailed and tightened to do it NO MORE.  The last two chairs are still great and I hope it all finds a new home!  We love the new matching hutch!  It all matches so well! THANK YOU!!!

Our bonus room which was a huge selling point for us when we bought the house a year ago has not been used a whole lot until recently.  It was Andrew's office and held Brolly's crate.  Not too long ago we acquired a sleeper sofa from Grandma Beezer which is super comfy and I love.  We also adopted this weekend a new TV and huge entertainment center for upstairs to replace the microwave cart and an older TV.  The Bost home is now HD!  Over Christmas Brady received a rug, toys , and cubbyhole system.  I dreamed of this room looking like this when we moved in.  Needless to say we now use this room all the time and it is my favorite place to play with my son.  It is a great feeling when you feel like you have made something your own!  So Marieanne, Patrick, Max and Sam while I know these pieces will greatly miss you I hope they will learn to love living with us!

Finally starting to feel caught up!

The New Year post was written last week but just got it posted...O well!  Last week it snowed about 2 inches. Though it was not Brady's first snow, it was his first snow that we got pictures of him outside in it!

Even though it was gross out I still need to exercise as well as does Brolly and I continue to lose weight.  I currently have 12 lbs to go before I will be back to my pre-pregnancy weight!  A friend asked if I got a new pair of jeans.  They were not new so much as they just had not been worn since last year!  That is only one pair though and sadly not at all my favorites.

I walked a little further than I might should have because Little Mister was exhausted when I got home!

Brolly on the other hand loves the snow and was not ready to come home yet, he was begging for more but I told him we had to let Brady sleep!
He did not think this was reason enough and continued to plead!

We did go out for a few more minutes after Daddy got home to take these two cute pics.

This is a leftover one from right after Christmas!  He puts his legs up on everything now it is so funny.  He is rake grasping trying to pick up toys and his pacifier which he continuously succeeds to pull out of his mouth.  He did almost get it back in the other day.  Andrew and I were watching him and could not believe what he was trying to do!  It is so amazing watching all the new things he is learning to do.  He is also make throaty guttural noises at the top of his lungs in the back seat while we drive around town as well!

Christmas Favorites

Brady with Pop and Gramps at our house celebrating Christmas!
Good thing I was standing there when this happened because it was the last time I did not strap him in!  What a cutie, he knew he got caught.  I feel this is only a forecast of what is to come as he gets older!
Little Bradford Michael hanging in his Jumperoo, "What's up mom?"  His feet still don't quite hit the floor, but they are getting there.
Bradford's official 3 month picture worked out great.  I was actually holding him under his sweater!
Bradford with his Great Grandaddy Bost!  They had a great time together as you can see.
Brady thinks his Great Grandma Kinzie is a hoot.  She had him cracking up all Christmas!
Christmas morning with Daddy!  He was so excited to celebrate!
This was taken in Roanoke.  All the men had remote control helicopters and he was mesmerized watching them fly around the room.
Bradford having a great time with Nana and Grandpa!
A great family picture in VA
Brady at his first trip to the Roanoke Weenie Stand; don't worry folks even though he couldn't eat there Mommy and Daddy enjoyed it and told him how great it all tasted.  He is looking forward to the day he can eat there himself.
Brady all tuckered out from Christmas with Grandpa and Grandma!
Hey there cutie mister (Andrew often calls him this)
A hilarious picture with his third cousins Benson and Faith

 So sweet!

Happy New Year

It has been awhile, I have many pictures and videos from Christmas!  We had a wonderful first Christmas with Bradford.  It was great having Andrew's family come and see us to celebrate at our house and we got many wonderful things!  We went to Hickory to see Andrew's dad's family, Shelby for four days to see my family and Salem to see my mom's family!  It was a lot less running than past Christmases and with a four month old I am thankful.   Andrew had  a week off between Christmas and New Year's and we hung out at the house cleaning and putting everything back in it's place!  I was very excited to set up Brady's little play room upstairs!  I am loving my new duvet cover, floor steamer and listening to my shuffle while exercising.  Our guest room looks wonderful with new curtains and sheets.  Andrew was way excited about his extension ladder, new watch he bought, and running shoes.  We have a new theme in our home, it is exercise and healthy eating which we have both already lost weight this new year and that is very exciting!

Our Little Mister is changing so much.  He is grabbing at things including my hair which I have since gotten cut shorter, and passing things from one hand to the next, talking to us often, going down at 9PM every night PRAISE THE LORD, and slept 8 hours last night from 9-5am!!!!!!  He plays with toys now which has been really fun for me we do this every night for about two hours before bedtime. This is very exciting for us, he is doing so well!  We are loving each new stage of development with him and we have so much fun with him.  I am so thankful to have a husband that understands when I need a break!  I went to the woman's fellowship last night at church baby less and it was wonderful to worship and fellowship and listen to the speakers who always inspire my faith!

I hope everyone else's new year is going as wonderful as ours is!
